The time has come
Well, the day is drawing near. We leave tomorrow to travel to Lakeland for Mom's ceremony. I am excited to see her stand there and be recognized for all that she has accomplished. I don't know how many will be at the ceremony, but I am sure there will be more than a few. I doubt that many will know the hardships and struggles that she has faced and overcome to get to this point. I know that it is not an easy path for anyone, but I am proud to know the battles my mother has fought and won on her journey. Most ministers and preachers probably start their ministry in smaller churches, but I doubt they have turned the spirit of a church around the way she has. There are many that still doubt HIS presence, but I feel it everyday when I think about her and all that she has done with her life. I know we don't understand HIS reasoning on many things in our lives and I will probably never understand why he has chosen to take her home before we wanted. I will however be eternally grateful for the time that he has given us to be with her and enjoy her life. I am so proud to finally see her efforts acknowledged and her official ordination. I love you Mom!
